There are cafes that brew and pour rich, bold coffee. There are restaurants that prepare and serve delicious, flavorful food. There are bakeries that offer up fresh muffins and pastries. There are candy shops that make refined chocolates by hand. Those are all nice.
This is Somethings Brewing. And Somethings Brewing does it all, and does it all so well.
Your days of running around are over, unless you like running around.

“The Breakfast Quesadilla is very flavorful and delicious. The Sweet Tater Babies taste zesty. This is good for two meals!”
Walking into Somethings Brewing is a welcome feeling. Everyone is engaged in lively discussion as they enjoy their freshly prepared food and drink. The staff is very warm and personable. People are enjoying their day and relaxing at Somethings Brewing.
Lisa and our friend Tracy decided to share a late Sunday morning at Somethings Brewing. This wasn’t our first trip to Somethings Brewing but it was our first visit together. We settled into a brunch/early lunch gathering.
Tracy was set on breakfast. It’s the best meal to enjoy dining out at a restaurant. Did I just say, “Restaurant”? I did. Tracy ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla with a side of Sweet Tater Babies. She decided on bacon as her protein from a list of choices: bacon, sausage, turkey sausage or ham. I’d imagine that you could have a veggie option as well. Easy enough.
Lisa was glued to the chalkboard that read, “Labrettis”. Three is a magic number. It’s the third chalkboard. Enchanted, Lisa chose wisely with the Ranch Roast Labretti. Later she dialed up a Chococonut Latte. You might say it wrong, but you’ll always be right.
Whenever I find something I like, I like to try it again. The Tuna Melt Wrap was an easy choice, so I thought I would veer suddenly and try something new on the drink side: a Frozen Coffee Smoothie, Mocha choice. I’m like a little kid.
We sat down by the window. Even though Somethings Brewing was more like Everythings Hopping, there was plenty of comfortable seating. Our food and drink arrived nearly all together. I took my photos quickly before we took our first tastes of everything.
Tracy was very impressed by the portions and quality of her breakfast. She was very enlightened, “The Breakfast Quesadilla is very flavorful and delicious. The Sweet Tater Babies taste zesty. This is good for two meals!” Indeed, she packed up more than half of her servings for another meal later. Even though I didn’t have a taste, the beautiful accompanying photo made the experience one to share for everyone.
Lisa loves good bread and good deli meat. Wait a minute. Did I just say, “Deli”? I thought this was a cafe. Looking at her Chococonut Latte, this was most definitely a cafe. But I wanted to hear all about it from her. Hoisting her generous Ranch Roast Labretti, Lisa practically disappeared behind the horizon of the freshly baked seasoned flat bread. Her eyes lit up, a good thing to be sure, and she smiled as she said, “The Ranch Roast Labretti is tender and fluffy. The flavors blend together perfectly!” Then she took a sip of her coffee, “The Chococonut Latte is very smooth with a hint of toasted coconut and not too sweet!” A restaurant, a deli and a cafe walk into a bar…
My old friend, the Tuna Melt Wrap was in my hands again. Sometimes memories fade and become unreliable. Sometimes memories just come alive. I never felt so alive, “The Tuna Melt Wrap is full of chunk tuna with the perfect blend of melted cheddar, romaine lettuce and tomatoes. The dressing is very light!” Wanting to enhance the experience, I turned it up by reaching for my (yes, “my”) Frozen Coffee Smoothie. I started talking before I finished drinking! I had done that before when I was a little kid. Luckily, I’m better at it now! I said, at a volume probably exceeding what was necessary, “Oh, the Frozen Coffee Smoothie is so smooth! There are no little bits of ice or watered down taste. The coffee is just right!” The only thing that separated me from being the little kid that I used to be was that I was drinking coffee.
“The Ranch Roast Labretti is tender and fluffy. The flavors blend together perfectly!”
I suppose, like a little kid, I wanted to bring some goodness home. And there was so much goodness. Lisa wanted the frosted cupcake under glass. I wanted a few chocolates. All of these treats were fresh baked and handmade by Somethings Brewing. You would have thought that we were in a bakery or candy shop. Did I just say, “Bakery” and “Candy Shop”? I did, and nothing could be more right.
